On February 14, 2018, almost everyone's favorite day! I am helping one of my students write a Valentine's Day card to one of their friends. This little girl is one of my favorites because she always strives to do her best and asks for help when she knows she needs it. This day made me the proudest of each and everyone one of my students because they all tried their hardest to write something to their friends.
I chose to read a book called "The Day It Rained Hearts'. The children sat quietly and listened to me read and showed how much they were paying attention. They asked questions and showed their enthusiasm. During the reading I asked them questions to make sure they were listening and understood what was going on during the story. It made me really happy to know they enjoyed this reading time and payed attention.
This is a note from one of the parents. It made me feel like I was reaching my goal on making a difference with these children. To know that they go home and talk about me to their parents makes me feel like I've made an impact. These students and their parents are who I'm doing this for and why I'm doing this.
During centers, one of the boys who behaves well and always excels can to me and asked me to read a book. Listening to him read was the most soothing thing I've ever done. He pointed to every word and showed how much growth he has made since I first started working with him.
Here are two girls that were eager to welcome me back after my injury. The class took their time to make me a card because I had hurt myself in cheer. The card made me feel loved, missed, and appreciated. The way they were so excited to hand me the card showed me that I've really made an impact on them for the better.
The front of my card. The first heart on this page is from such a lovable little girl. This card really is something I will keep forever. On my bad days I look at this card and read the notes they have left because it means so much.

This is the inside of my card. The messages that they wrote were from the heart and they tried their hardest to write it themselves to show their growth. The teacher sat with each of them and asked what they wanted to say and some examples of what they said are things like "we miss you Ms. Ani", "You are the best", "Thank you for helping us", "we love you Ms. Ani".

These two girls came up to me during centers and ask to take a picture. They said that they missed me and wanted me to have pictures with me so I will never forget them. Can't explain how happy they make me. Going to be so sad when the school year ends.
When we were taking class pictures and decided to make a silly face. They were beyond excited and happy to take pictures. This is the best class and I'm so glad I had the chance to work with them. Looking at this picture and seeing all the different personalities makes me beyond ready to start my career and have a class of my own.
This is a testimony from my mentor on how well I have worked with her class. This email was heart touching and something that will stick with me forever. I truly can't explain how grateful I am to have been given the opportunity to work with her and her class. They have made a huge impact on me and that is something I will always be thankful for.
